Concerning "2. UNIMARC - proposal with IFLA for mapping thesaurus - Where are we now? What are the next steps? Actions for the group?":
I don't think it is a proposal with IFLA. This point concerns the proposal for a joint project with the MLA Cataloging and Metadata Committee.
The aim is to create a set of mappings between the 2 following vocabularies:
- the UNIMARC Medium of Performance Vocabulary
- the Library of Congress Medium of Performance Thesaurus (LCMPT).

And the vocabulary/thesaurus of musical forms. Well, we might communicate to the IFLA Cataloguing section, once we have started the process. The real difficulty is to organise a starting meeting, and find people who may volunteer working on that, on both sides.
Also, objectives should be defined, and a roadmap (or deadline).
The work itself is basically easy, as in the UNIMARC database there is now the possibility to add a link to LCMPT, term by term.

I'm interested in working on the UNIMARC Medium of Performance/LCMPT project. I've used LCMPT in my cataloging work for about three years now and I'm on MLA Cataloging and Metadata Committee's LCMPT maintenance working group, so I think I could make a useful contribution.

I won't be able to make it to IAML this year, but I'd still like to be in on this project if possible.

Has anyone heard about the request from RISM (Jennifer Ward) for new MARC21 subfields for Series C (Directory of Music Holding Repositories)? I heard about it on the US/MLA side (not much is being done yet), but I'm not sure if there is a need for us to discuss here.
